If you don’t wanna spend a dime to get a new dock for your iPhone, you could probably follow a DIY way to build your own iPhone dock. Looking around, if you have lots of CDs or DVDs that you’ve got bored with or they’re full of scratches and unreadable by the player, you can then stack them up to build an iPhone dock for yourself.
That is what Geeky-gadgets have done, by having some recycled CDs or DVDs to build a dock for his iPhone. So the iPhone will look cool sitting on the desk while it’s charging and syncing. The DIY CD iPhone dock built by Geeky-gadgets is claimed to suit virtually any iPod, and both the 2G and 3G iPhones, and also for the new iPhone 3GS.
The CD iPhone dock was made using about 11 to 12 CDs or DVDs. Head over to Geeky-gadgets for more details, if you’d like to follow the instruction and make one for yourself. Be sure to have some super glue ready to stick those CDs together. I believe you need passion and patience and also time for building an iPhone dock like this, which I usually don’t have these days.
