Crest Solar E1107 – Samsung’s first solar-powered mobile phone

Samsung solar cellphone E1107
Samsung has officially announced its first solar-powered mobile phone, the Crest Solar E1107. Once this phone is exposed to the sun for one hour, i’ll be then able to soak up sun light and let you talk for 10 minutes.

Being able to soak up sun juice for its power is definitely useful especially during emergency. As long as it’s day time and sun light is available so you can then make a call after exposing the Crest Solar E1107 to the sun.

This Samsung solar cellphone is a GSM handset, which comes with common features of a cellphone including a camera, FM radios, MP3 ringtones and games. The phone also has additional security feature such as SOS alert call, and Samsung Proprietary Mobile Tracker which automatically sends out SOS message during emergency. The phone also has a fake call feature which you can pretend there is an incoming call to escape from an unsafe situation.

This Samsung green phone costs only $59 in Asian market, but it seems like no words about when it’ll be available for the Western market.
