Parents who have kids that are addicted to video gaming, may wanna consider a handy gadget called GameDR. This gadget allows you to set up a timer and when the time is up it automatically shuts down the game console.
The GameDR is supposed to clamp onto a power cord of a game console. The built-in timer of this device allows you to set up how long you want your kids to play on a Wii, PS3 or Xbox. The GameDR will shut the game console down when the timer is up, even though the gamer is still in the middle of the game, giving no chance for the gamer to save their sessions. This may be the most annoying part of this device, which may trigger your kids to find ways to destroy it.

When my son’s playing time is getting out of control, I’ll probably try this. But as of this time, he’s disciplined enough to know when to play and the time limit. I think a nice chat with your son/daughter would suffice to prevent this video game addiction.
