USB extension adapter extends USB connection using network cable

Here comes a USB extension adapter that allows you to extend your USB connection up to 150 feet away. This adapter makes use of the pretty common Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 cable to extend the USB signal for up to 150 feet away from your computer.

The little adapter is handy for those who wanna hook up a USB camera or a printer which is to be placed at certain distance away from the computer. The adapter consists of a pair of connectors, which are the base connector and the remote connector. Each connector has a RJ45 female which is for you to hook it up with a Cat5/6 cable. And the other end of the connectors is a either a male or female USB connector for hooking up to the computer and USB device as shown in the picture below.

This USB extension adapter is a simple and cheaper solution to extend your USB signal via the commonly obtainable Cat 5/6 network cable. If you don’t like tangling wires, then better opt for the wireless USB extender.
