The urine-powered NoPoPo batteries have found their first real application i.e. to be used in a new flashlight that was also developed by NoPoPo and this flashlight is claimed able to run for 10 years without recharging.
The NoPoPo urine-powered batteries can be recharged using urine and they can only be recharged for a maximum of four times. But they offer enough operation time, making them better alternative to other flashlights powered by conventional batteries.
For certain unknown reasons that you’ve run out of urine, you can also recharge the NoPoPo batteries with non-stinking liquid such as water, soda or even beer (Provided you’re willing to sacrifice beer for lights). The NoPoPo flashlight carries a price tag of $39, which isn’t cheap at all, but it saves you lots of your pocket for buying batteries, and some more you can make your urine useful, exchangeable for some brightness.
