U-met GPS-enabled helmet

Japanese NEC has developed a safety helmet that incorporates various technologies including GPS, camera and microphone which can keep you safe on the road or at work in those dangerous zones.

This helmet is called U-met, is able to communicate with a base station via 3G network or LAN for receiving images and location data. This helmet is recommended to be used by security personnel, rescue workers, and fire fighters. No information about its price and the actual date of availability.
