Weeks later, Monoprice updated their site to say the same. This is cheap and effective for video, but go with the Moshi adapter if you want audio/video in one cable. The MacbookPro before April 2010 does not support audio over mini displayport, so this Monoprice one is fine. I tried this adapter for my mid-2010 MacBookPro, but this one will NOT support the audio over HDMI. Weeks later, Monoprice updated their site to say the same. This is cheap and effective for video, but go with the Moshi adapter if you want audio/video in one cable.

The MacbookPro before April 2010 does not support audio over mini displayport, so this Monoprice one is fine.
