Installing solar panels in your home has always been pretty costly in terms of the device itself and the workmanship that you have to pay. Maybe Veranda Solar is able to help with their innovative plug and play solar panels that require only a screwdriver and a standard home outlet.
Other than that, the Veranda solar panel is comparatively lower in price than others, which costs only $600 per piece. Veranda claims their panels can be affixed to gutters, windows, and balconies simply in the “plug and play” style. The panels can snap together and can be plugged directly into an outlet. If one panel isn’t enought for your home, get a second one from Veranda costs you only $450.
Currently, these innovative solar panels are not in the market yet, but Veranda has accelerated their production after winning a 100,000 Euro prize from the PICNIC Green Challenge. So, the solar panels and flexible inverters of Veranda should be available by the end of 2009.
