Modern vehicles will have too many control buttons such as temperature and volume controls on the steering wheel that might distract the driver’s attention on the road. Toyota has a solution for this, by adding a Touch Tracer Display into its 2010 Prius, which is meant for keeping driver’s eyes on the road.
The Touch Traser Display is to eliminate the need for downward glances when needing to operate any of mentioned controls on the steering wheel. When the driver touches the controls on the steering wheel, an orange indicator appears on the speedometer just below the windshield, letting the driver know that you’re touching the control buttons, so there is no need to look all the way down at the steering wheel.
The 2010 Prius is a hybrid vehicle that features a solar battery charging roof and able to reach up a total horsepower of 150. The Touch Traser Display is an additional effort to keep drivers to drive more safely with their upcoming 2010 Prius.
