OCZ has joined the crowd to produce netbook. But their upcoming Netbook, Neutrino will be slightly different from others’. The OCZ netbook allows users to customize it for the software and the hardware components used within without losing the warranty.
Such as you can upgrade or replace the hard drive and memory, or you can opt to pay for an OS license or you can opt to run a open source e.g Ubuntu Linux. The rest of the specifications of the Neutrino netbook will be more or less the same as those found in the market. Stock units will feature a 1.6Ghz Atom processor, VGA-out, one ExpressCard slot, 2 USB ports, plus a 2.5? hard disk slot, and a 10-inch 1024×600 LED backlit screen.
It weighs about 1.3kg, which is slightly heavier than what was expected. This netbook shall be powerful enough for some averagely heavy users, as it should let you upgrade its memory and hard drive up to 2GB and 250GB respectively. No word on the availability and pricing.
