Olympus’ new entry-level DSLR : E-620

Good news for the DSLR lovers, Olympus has unveiled their new entry-level DSLR, E-620 which comes with a much more affordable price tag of less than $1,000 USD.

The Olympus E-620 will come with a 12.3 megapixel sensor, scheduled to go on sale in the US in May. Japan and Europe are luckier which they will get it in March and April respectively, but Europe will get it with a higher price. Olympus has stuffed in the main features of the E-30 and E-520 into this small and light E-620 (about the size of E-420). The specs can be expected are as follows:

- 12.3 megapixel Live MOS image sensor with sensor-shift image stabilization
- 7-point AF
- ISO sensitivity from 100 to 3,200
- TruePic III+ image processor
- wireless flash controller
- 2.7-inch tilt HyperCrystal III LCD with 230,000 pixels
- multi aspect ratio (16:9, 4:3, 3:2and 6:6)
- size: 130×60x94mm
- body weight: 520g

Up to now, you shall be pretty eager to know the price of this entry-level DSLR shooter. The E-620 body will have an MSRP of $700 in the US. If you want the set that comes with the 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 Zuiko lens, you’ll need to pay $800 for it.
