Robot nurse to deliver medication

murata-robot-nurse
Robots have been used extensively in hospitals or any therapy centers to assist patients. In Japan, robot is now to replace human to work as a nurse to deliver medication to the patients. This could hint that eventually human will lose their job of working as a nurse. (In certain countries, nurse is a pretty high-paying job).

This robotic nurse has been developed by Murata Machinery, which is capable of performing many of the duties of a human nurse. And the very obvious difference is a robotic nurse will not get tired, and it’s especially good to be used to deliver medication to patients during late night hours.

the robot nurse was developed as a part of Japan’s “Project for Strategic Development of Advanced Robotics Elemental Technologies” led by NEDO. The “nurse” is one of the six selected new robots in their project that cover functions such as disaster recovery, industrial work and security.

Pretty interesting! however, human nurses are still preferred. Therapeutic care is irreplaceable from a human nurse. Thanks then for this eye opener post.
