I’ve just got an email my mail box, telling me the Amazon Kindle 2 has just arrived fresh on Amazon. The price of the Kindle 2 e-book reader is exactly what we’ve told you before, $359. But the date of release is much earlier than the Feb 24th that we’ve told you before!
The Kindle 2 is super thin, measures only slightly over 1/3 of an inch, as thin as magazines. Some more, it’s super light weight, weighs at 10.2 ounces, lighter than a typical paperback. The Kindle 3 comes equipped with 3G high-speed connectivity, making it to download e-Books with ease, anytime, anywhere and there is no monthly charges. Alternatively, you can also hook up to WiFi hotspots. It claims it needs only 60 seconds to deliver e-Books.
There are a couple of enhancements over the first-gen Kindle, such as 25% faster page turns, 25% longer battery life, improved display makes it to read almost like real paper. It’s also equipped with text-to-speech capabilities which can read every book, blog, magazine and newspaper out loud to you. It’s got a capacity of holding up to 1,500 books.
