BlackBerry Gemini 9300 is believed to be the handset to replace the BlackBerry Curve. And of course the Gemini 9300 will come with UMTS/HSDPA (3G) which is short in the Curve.
The outer look of the BlackBerry Gemini 9300 will be more or less same as the Curve, but with slightly redesigned keyboard, silver casing, powered by a more powerful processor. Besides, it also has a larger screen with higher resolution than what the BlackBerry 8900 has.
There are also some changes on the QWERTY keyboard such as having more rounded keys, the Send/End keys will become rounded instead of flat on the sides. Currently, the leaked details of this phone are still insufficient, it’ not sure yet whether it comes equipped with WiFi or GPS, but it’s been presumed to have both and also a camera of at least 3.2 megapixel.
The Gemini 9300 will come with two models, besides the Tri-band 3G model, there is also another model that supports only quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE. This phone will likely take a couple of more months to reach the market, it’s guessed to be available either in Q4 2009 or Q1 2010, which shouldn’t be too soon as RIM have just announced the latest iteration of Curve.
