The little device as shown is a DIY SSD to CF converter, which is a quick and easy solution for you to switch your Asus EEE 901 PC from using SSD to compact flash.
Fixing it is pretty easy as shown in the picture below. Just open the back cover of your Asus EEE PC, insert the little device and attach a compact flash card onto the device, then your Asus EEE PC will be able to use the CF for storing data, with much higher capacity than what the original SSD that EEE PC has.
