The Smule’s Ocarina is an iPhone app that turns iPhone into a virtual ocarina musical instrument that can be used to churn out sweet music. Smule has run a contest to gather various talents over the globe, and the videos of the 10 winners of the Smule’s Ocarina contest and a few weird ones are attached below; and they’re superb!
The 10 Winners are as follows:
1. Hardrockgrl’s “Oh Shenandoah”
2. David Choi’s cover of “Hot N Cold”
3. Sadness and Sorrow
4. Monkey Head
5. Good sleep, fast sleep
6. Greeting from Hungary
7. Whistle Stop
8. Carol of the Bells
9. Song of Storms
10. Music of the night
Each winner gets $1,000 prize, but the winner no 10, Music of the night will get extra – a box of Kleenex and a bottle of Purell, as she blows the ocarina using her nose instead of her mouth! Other than the 10 winners with, the judges have also selected the few weird submissions, which are as follows:
The weird ones
1. A cat playing the Ocarina
A cat uses her nose to blow the iPhone Ocarina. It’s hard to believe that, but I think it should deserve a prize but due to the video shows a cat is blowing the iPhone Ocarina, which should have failed to convince the judges that it was really played by the cat.
2. He plays Ocarina with his posterior!
Hey man, your iPhone is gonna stink! How could you fart so many times to keep it going? It’s unbelievable!
3. Singing?
He sings along when someone is blowing the Ocarina?
And there are more of these videos including lots of funny and super creative ones, which you can find out more on Smule’s Ocarina Contest page.
Note: Smule will extend the contest to Friday, February 13, in order to nurture more iPhone Ocarina talents, and announce 5 more $1,000 prize winners on Smule’s Mule live broadcast February 16th. Thanks Tammy for sending this in!
