SSDs (Solid State Drives) are great for the speed. But when coming to storage capacity, they are still far behind platter-based hard drives. And this has put many makers onto the race for bigger storage capacity on SSDs.
But now, pureSilicon has won the race by having produced their first 1-Terabyte Nitro SSD. This pureSilicon Nitro SSD comes with a super thin design and as what its name suggests the read and write speeds are as fast as Nitrogen.
The high-capacity SSD of pureSilicon will be best used in servers that run applications that need both performance and disk space. The pureSilicon Nitro SSD also promises lower power consumption, you just need four of the Nitro SSDs to deliver 4TB in the same space as a standard 3.5-inch HDD.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that these high-capacity SSDs will come in very expensive price which is only affordable by companies that have huge daily data transactions that need both performance and storage space on their servers. It most likely takes some times for it to come to your desks. These pureSilicon 1TB SSDs are scheduled to roll out some time this year.
