
iHome has produced a couple of portable speakers for the iPhone and iPod and they were demoed at the CES 2009. The few models that were present at CES 2009 are as follows:
1. iP29 Portable Speaker Case for iPhone/iPod It comes in a fabric-wrapped protective shell which protects and charges your iPhone.
2. iP49 Portable Rechargeable Audio System with Alarm Clock & FM Radio for iPhone/iPod These speakers are actually made for home use, but it also comes with a rechargeable rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It also includes features such as Bongiovi Acoustics’ patented Digital Power Station (DPS) technology and 4 neodymium compression drivers. It’s equipped with equalizer system that lets you emphasize the bass and audio performance. And it has a remote control which allows you control it from afar.
3. iHMP5 2 in 1 Portable Stereo Speaker/Headphone System This is an all-in-one speaker/headphone set which allows the user to listen in a private or public mode. It’s not only usable for the iPhone or iPod, it can be used for various devices such as computers and handsets. It’s also equipped with a magnetic proximity switch, which activates the power amplifier and blast the music up to room volume.
Other than the three mentioned, there are a couple of other models such as the iH16, iH24 and iHM77, which were on display at CES 2009.
