Many of you may have left clothes in the washing machine for several hours or even a day after the machine finishes washing. Leaving clothes in the washing machine without taking them to dry may leave those clothes with some unpleasant smell. And you’ll end up of having to wash them again, which will definitely waste you lots of time.
If you’re one who always sits in front of the computer, it shall be very useful that the washer could send a message on your computer when it finishes its cycle. How about updating Twitter, so you could follow the washer on Twitter to know when it finishes its cycle, and the load will be saved in time.
Here comes a smart washing machine, which is a DIY project of a brainy guy who has posted a video on YouTube to show how it works. This smart washer has been equipped with a couple electronic circuits, an Ethernet port, which allows it to be hooked up to your home network. It displays its status on a giant flashing sign that sticks on the wall. When it finishes its cycle, the sign will show “done”. And some more it can be setup to Twitter you as well, when it finishes washing. Take a look at the washer in action below.
