There may be no easy way to wake you up in the early morning. Several alarm clocks that you’ve tried before all failed to get you up. Perhaps the Mensa Puzzle alarm clock is an exceptional, as it imposes certain difficulties for turning its sound off.
The Mensa alarm clock takes some of your brain power to solve the puzzle for turning it off. Or else the alarm sound will go louder and louder, which will eventually be too noisy for you to continue to sleep. When the Menza alarm clock goes off, you will need to memorize and repeat a random sequence of colored lights. If you get it wrong, the alarm will restart and become louder than before. And also, if you pause for too long without solving the “puzzle”, it’ll restart as well.
There is also a “wimp out” button on the top right, but once this button is pressed you’ll be punished with 30 seconds of an extra loud alarm. Apparently, if you’re slow to solve the “puzzle” presented by this alarm clock , you’ll be tortured to a stage that your brain shall stay fully awake before you manage to solve it.
