A collection of geeky and odd Christmas Trees

Christmas is just a couple of days to go, if you haven’t got any idea on how to decorate your own Christmas tree or you don’t even have a Christmas tree yet, I have a collection of the geeky, odd and high-tech Christmas trees to show you here.

1. Hard Drive Christmas Tree – This is an imaginative Christmas tree which is made of a huge number of platters of computer hard drives. If you’ve spoiled enough hard drives over the years, you could also make use of the platter disks of those spoiled hard drives to make up a Christmas tree as shown in the picture.

2. OLED Christmas Tree – A Christmas tree that is made with the super thin and flexible OLEDs. It’s certainly a high-tech one, but it maybe little costly to have one of these.

3. LED Christmas tree – LEDs are supposed to be used in the high-tech era to make up your Christmas tree, as they consume less energy and save your bills.

4. Spinning illuminated Christmas tree – This is definitely unusual, a spinning one which has high-tech element lying within. A DIY project by some geeks who think Christmas tree needs to be different from its traditional look.

5. Battery LED Christmas tree – This is easy to make, just have a couple of the resistors, and couple of green and red LEDs, and make them to sit on top of a 9V battery.

6. Christmas tree projector – When you don’t feel like having a physical Christmas tree, you can always make a projection on the wall. So, after Christmas, you can simply switch off the projector, which is much easier to store than a clumsy Christmas tree. This projector shall come from the same hands that made the Green Alien projector.

7. Pacman Christmas Tree – For the big fan of the Pacman videogame. It’s certainly not an easy to make. I wonder if Pacman will be running and chasing after its food on this X’mas tree.

8. Extravaganza Christmas tree decorated with gadgets – It looks messy but there are number of MP3 players, CDs, old batteries hung on this Christmas tree.
