The popularity of iPhone’s touchscreen and the recently increasing number of touchscreen-based gadgets may have urged you to want a touchscreen for your existing computer as well.
And of course, you could spend extra bucks for getting a tablet PC or the latest notebooks that come equipped with a touchscreen. But if you wanna save your pocket, and you wish to turn the existing display or monitor of your computer into a touchscreen, you’re not out of luck.
The Korean company Pen and Free has created a device called Duo which is able to turn any monitor into a touchscreen that has tablet capabilities. And the best is it costs only $44, which is much cheaper than buying a a brand new tablet PC.
The Duo has two models available, which the first model is for the laptop use, pictured above, and the second model is meant for desktop computer, pictured below. You can attach the Duo at the side or on top of the monitor. It has word recognition, motion recognition capabilities and supports plug and play via USB. Furthermore, you can even choose which part of your screen you want Duo to turn it into a tablet/touchscreen.

The device definitely serves as a cheap alternative for users who like to have touchscreen input experience on their computer, without having to invest on new tablet or touchscreen-based laptop. The little downside is when this device is attached to a monitor, it is vertical, which you may face some difficulties of inputting on a vertical touchscreen.
