We have some very detailed and sophisticated radio controlled race cars are on their way to the US. These dNaNo radio-controlled race cars by Japanese Kyosho are packed with high-tech features, they are not the usual R/C toy cars that you’re used to.

The dNaNo race cars are the 1:43 scale replicas and packed with high-tech gyros, 2.4GHz radios and precision-crafted bodies. And each of them can be controlled via a USB connected device which lets you post your lap times on the web to compete with others.

Each car has an ID tag that has been assigned during production. You must register the car and enter the special circuit on Kyosho web site. And it’ll then start measuring the lap times. While displaying your data on the circuit display, all circuits are networked to the dNaNo Server, which automatically gets updated with your lap times.

You can access the Kyosho website from your PC for the racing data. The entire system brings you to closer to a real racing experience. Below is the video that shows these high-tech RC race cars in action.

The kyosho looks like it has a lower cg and will turn better they also have lipo battery and 2.4 gig radio. i am sure they price will be a lot higher. the new mini-z with 2.4ghz radio is gonna be about 200 and it does not even have lipo and a charger.

micro z looks good to play around with but for pure performance the kyosho will most likely be better.

While the Dnano has some incredible features and scores some major points with the gadget freaks around here, that is one expensive little toy! The moment Kyosho announced these things, I started checking periodically for a release date and pricing. The thought of setting up a killer little track in the corner of my garage is very appealing.

if you’re into off road, you’re probably not into the detailed model collecting aspect of the hobby. one has to think of dNano as more than just a car you pull out & play with or bash. the packaging the body comes in doubles as a display case so I’m sure u can understand its not your average r/c body. we just had a club race last night and it was just as much fun as larger scale, i just didn’t have 2 worry about my repair budget after it was over.

  4. dNano Fan Says:

dNano cars can be bought for $155. The transmitter, charger, and the Li po battery can be bought for $100. But that’s it. $255. Not bad considering you don’t need to buy anything else to run it fast. It runs for 20+ minutes before you need to charge up the battery but charging time is less than 30 minutes. I am having more fun with it than any of my other RC cars. One of the advantage of the car is that I can run it any time of the day thanks to the small size and very low noise level. This is not a toy store RC car. Driving a dNano requires the same skill level as driving a 1/10 scale RC car because of the high speed and the full range of digital throttle and steering control.
