Etsy is an online store that has many goodies made of computer old parts. Such as this computer hard drive clock.
It looks pretty neat to sit on your work desk, especially for the geeky ones. The clock is made using a 3 1/2 hard drive and it also includes quartz drive movement. The clock needs only one AA battery to run on.
It shall make up a pretty nice gift for those who love gadgets. But it sounds rather expensive with the price tag of $33. If you have a few old or non-functioning hard drives hanging around at one corner, you could probably pick one up, start you own DIY project and make one of these by yourself. Remember that we’ve seen a guy made a clock using an overly old 5-1/4 inch hard drive?
