Nikon has introduced its new top-of-the-range DSLR camera, the Nikon D3X. The D3X is built on top of the various coolnesses (reliability, handling and durability) found on the Nikon D3, the one that was dubbed as the Usain Bolt of the digital cameras DSLRs which offers super fast image sensor.
The D3X offers imaging sensor with much higher resolution than its counterparts. It carries a 24.5 megapixel CMOS sensor that makes the camera best used for a much wider range of shooting environments, which is great for studio use, outdoor for nature photography and fashion as well.
The Nikon D3X also presents the same ergonomics and handling of the D3, which is so easy for everyone to pick it up and start working on it quickly and efficiently. The D3X is equipped with a super clear viewfinder, which provides 100% coverage and comprehensive illuminated displays. It’s also equipped with a high-def, 3-inch 920,000-dot VGA TFT display that enables a good viewing for playback of images.
The specially-developed FX-format CMOS image sensor of the Nikon D3X is said to feature 12-channel readout, gapless micro lens array and on-chip noise reduction. This enables it to deliver class-leading levels of continuous shooting speed and noise management at great sensitivities without sacrificing any detail.

A wide range of ISO is supported by the D3X, starting from ISO 100-1600, extendable down to ISO 50 and up to 6400, which is equivalent with up to 5 fps continuous shooting at full resolution, or 7 fps in the 10MP DX-crop mode.
The camera has no problem at all for capturing fast moving subject in low-light conditions, which is contributed by its Multi-CAM3500FX 51-point autofocus system, that allows super accuracy and dynamic tracking.
Response rate of this camera is great with a start-up of only 12 millisceonds and 40ms shutter lag. The Kevlar/carbon fibre composite shutter is specially designed to suit intensive professional needs and tested to 300,000 cycles at the factory that can stand intensive use.
The Nikon D3X comes with a magnesium body and perfectly sealed from moisture and dust resistance. It also supports Nikon’s wireless system (WT-4), equipped with HDMI output for direct playback on HDTV, offers a dual slot for CF cards and is compatible with the new GP-1 GPS unit.
