Some film speakers have surfaced in the market before, they are super thin that can be hung on the wall like a piece of painting without being noticed they actually blast your tunes.
And now we have some advancements to tell you here which speakers can be made even thinner by the use of nanotechnology. And it’s possible to make it as thin as 1/1,000th the width of a single human hair.
Chinese researchers at Tsinghua University claim that they’ve developed the super tiny carbon nanotubes, which has thinness at 1/1,000th the width of a single human hair and they’re capable of transmitting sounds and music.
The researchers at the lab mounted a thin carbon-nanotubes-made film onto two electrodes to form a simple loudspeaker and tested it. It was able to produce sounds as good as those produced by conventional loudspeakers, even though they don’t come with magnets or moving coils.
Some more the flexible film was tested to be able to play music effectively from an iPod. These super thin films are seen to have great potential to be used in future consumer electronics market.
