HTC officially announces their first GSM cellphone that comes integrated with WiMax. The HTC MAX 4G is the world’s first GSM / WiMax integrated handset.
Unfortunately, this WiMax-integrated cellphone is being announced for the Russian’s Scartel on their “Yota’” brand WiMAX network, which might have pretty slim chance to step into the US later. The HTC WiMax phone shall be the same as the T8290 that we’d reported earlier on, which it’s now given a different name.
The specs of the HTC WiMax 4G phone are as follows:
- 3.8-inch TFT-LCD flat touchscreen with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
- TouchFlo 3D
- 528MHz Processor
- GPS
- WiFi
- 5 megapixel auto-focus camera
- Secondary VGA camera for Video Calling
- VoIP
- Accelerometer for portrait/landscape modes
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
- TouchFlo 3D
- 528MHz Processor
- GPS
- WiFi
- 5 megapixel auto-focus camera
- Secondary VGA camera for Video Calling
- VoIP
- Accelerometer for portrait/landscape modes
