These days many phones and gadgets are equipped with touchscreen, it’s time to think beyond touch and Sony Ericsson is now ahead of others to patent a new kind of communication through touches.
The new idea by Sony Ericsson is a new method which touches are to be used to communicate between different mobile devices. There will be a remote device that registers the touches and another one that comes with a touchscreen or a standard display.
The diagram attached above shows the new communication channel which needs at least two devices to work. One device is used to register the gestures and the other one transfers the gestures and interpret them.
The touch-controlled communication method on devices is still a concept and Sony Ericsson has patented it. It may take some times to have this technology to come true on devices. There will probably be some interoperability issues between different brands of devices, which SE and the rest may have to solve before getting it to work well.
