Many super tiny-sized projectors are surfacing in the market these days. One of them is this Optoma’s pico projector which they plan to launch in Japan starting December 1st.
Apple will also be in the picture, by offering the Optoma projector exclusively on its Apple store until December 19th. This pico projector had been announced earlier on in summer and the specs are as follows:
- size: 0.67×2×4.1 inches, weight: 120 grams
- brightness: 10 lumens
- aspect ratio: 4:3
- resolution: 480×320
- contrast ratio: 1,000:1
- speaker: 0.5W
- battery life: about 2 hours
The pico projector is capable of producing images of around 60 inches and it costs around $510. But if you purchase it from the Apple store, you will get a free iPhone/iPod kit and connector. It still remains unknown when and at what price that it’ll offer outside of Japan.
