
Two new GPS devices, Navigon 8100T and Telenav Shortgun, have been introduced and they’ve advanced with some cool features, being more special among the crowd.
The Navigon 8100T is the one that is shown on the left side in the picture. The extra coolness of this device is it features 3D view of upcoming terrain, which is contributed by a special on-board data supplied by NASA. The device boasts a 4.8-inch widescreen display, capable of fetching real-time traffic updates and integrated with lane assistance. With all these comparatively better features, it costs more expensive than the average, carries a price tag of $599.
The Telenav Shortgun is the one on the right hand side in the picture. It’s a connected GPS, which means it keeps itself connected to the web, keep on refreshing its GPS data online. Through the online web service, you’re also able to enter your trip data online, get real-time traffic, gas pricing and weather data, and do live points-of-interest (POI) searches. The price is much cheaper than the Navigon device, costs only $300. But you need to pay for a monthly subscription fee of $12 per month, in order to keep it connected to the Internet for data update.
