It’s all because of iPhone that Apple managed to rank number 2 smartphone maker. And RIM (BlackBerry maker) has been pushed down to number 3.
It’s confirmed by analyst that iPhone has about 17.3 percent market share, whereas RIM is trailing at 15.2 percent. (Nokia is still the leader, holds 38.9 percent market share). Apple also gets lot of highest marks (5 stars) for its operation, customer satisfaction, physical design, OS, and features. Excepts the battery aspects get only two stars.
There was about 6.9 million iPhones shipped during summer and still shows no sign of cooling down. It’ll be kind of hard for RIM to compete, although their roll-outs of Bold and Storm also created some hotness in the market. RIM needs to work harder for a catch up.
