I just told you yesterday that Android is jailbreakable, which jailbreaker can easily get root access. But, Google team is kind of efficient and has pushed out a fix for it.
Their release of the RC30 software patch is for fixing the jailbreak root access loophole found on Android. Not all the T-Mobile G1 users have been notified about the patch yet. But some users have chosen to ignore the update and leave the loophole open, the reason could be they wanna try out some 3rd party apps on Android.
Google says, “We’ve been notified of this issue (Jailbreaking of Android) and have developed a fix. We’re currently working with our partners to push the fix out and updating the open source code base to reflect these changes.”
But according to the XDA developers who found the loophole, the users seem to be unable to ignore the update completely, as Google can force an update of your Android smartphone without needing to give you a prompt.
