Meizu M8 gets the bad name being called as the iPhone clone. It could be due to the reason, the company hasn’t yet released the M8. But now, it says that the release date is quite confirmed by November 30th.
The Meizu M8 is to be available only in limited form before the end of the month, according to a post of the company head, J Wong. The M8 touchscreen phone should be launched in China no later than end of the month. Currently, the company is waiting for a license from the government, but test version will still be released to users even they don’t get the license by end of the month.
A couple versions of the M8 are in the company’s release plan. The Chinese and Indian versions will be released first. The Chinese version will come with WiFi disabled in order to meet the local laws. But it has some extras, such as 3-megapixel camera, FM radio and also 3G/EDGE. Export versions of the M8 for Europe, Hong Kong and the US may also be ready by Christmas Eve and they will come with WiFi support.
Meizu M8 is based on a lot modified version of Windows Mobile interface, and it has numerous similarities found on iPhone, such as a Safari-like Web browser, a iPod-like media player and of course, a similar overall look. The M8 8GB model will likely ask for a price of $348 and the 16GB will be priced at $421.
