Copenhagen Suborbitals is trying to break through for everyone to travel into the orbit of the Earth. They’re planning for a new concept – a personal space capsule, which is called the Hybrid Exo Atmospheric Transporter.

This space capsule would be an affordable solution that would probably make average people to be able to travel into the orbit. Currently, there are only a few options for getting into orbit and they’re are damn expensive only super rich guys can afford. Such as spending a week on the ISS as a space tourist that costs you $25 million, buying a seat at Virginia for $200,000 or fly the MiG 31 into the orbit for $27,500.

This personal space capsule could be much cheaper, but it makes you look rather stupid. It gets you stuffed in the nose of a missile. The picture attached here tells exactly how it’s gonna look like. So, the passenger doesn’t get a seat, and it’ll be in a standing position. As they wanna save space and weight. You get some absorbers on your spine and legs.

There is a pixelglass above which you can look out to get the full space traveling experience. You also get modified SCUBA gear, pressure suit to keep your breathing, and an emergency parachute. And some vomit bags. Apparently, there is no space at all to let you move.

A hybrid rocket booster is for bringing this up, which fires about 3 gravities of thrust in about 60 seconds. After one minute of burn, the booster will be jettisoned, leaving the capsule to continue upward to over 100 km of altitude, and then descends, using two sets of parachutes to make it safely back to the earth….

This personal space capsule is expected to be much cheaper than the above-mentioned options, although no price has been specified yet at the current stage of development. But having to be stuffed in an overly packed capsule like this shouldn’t be fun at all and some more you have to travel alone, which your life will be at pretty high risk. Attached below is the video that shows the booster of this space capsule.
