
The newly announced Samsung’s smartphone, I7110 is based on S60 and the Symbian OS. The phone has been showcased at the London’s Symbian Smartphone Show.
The phone comes in a bar form factor, which has a 2.6-inch QVGA AMOLED screen. The GPS system of this phone seems pretty useful which has geotagging for tagging your photos with the locations taken. And somemore the GPS also helps pedestrians and drivers to find the ways and directions.
Some other goodies are an FM radio, DNSe 2.0, an 8-way optical mouse (provides easiness of mobile browsing), accelerometer , and you can play various 3D games on this phone, such as FIFA 2008, Asphalt etc. The phone also supports DLNA, which is interoperable with other DLNA compatible devices for exchanging digital contents.
Connectivities on this phone include Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and WiFi. It comes with an internal memory of 50MB only, but can be expanded up to 16GB via the memory card slot. The phone carries a 5-megapixel camera that features CMOS with AF and LED flash.
You also get video player which supposrts formats including DivX / H.263 / H.264 / WMV /MP4, RV, and a music player that plays files including MP3 / AAC / AAC+ /eACC+ / WMA / RealAudio. The thickness of this phone is only 12.9 mm, which is quite a slim bar.
