These days, even home users will need a server. Why not? If you operate a SOHO or have your business solely running at home, then you’ll definitely need a server to cope with the continuously increasing data.
Tranquil PC has announced their cube-shaped home server, SQA-5H, which I think it shall blend pretty well with your existing stylish furniture in your tiny apartment. It looks compact and the size shouldn’t occupy too much space.
This cube-shaped home server comes with a five hot-swappable drive bays. And it’s powered by Intel Dual Core Atom 330 1.6GHz processor and with a built-in 1GB RAM that can be expanded up to 2GB.
It also comes with easy backup utility – the Quick Backup System with the press of a Backup button on the front, which will then back up your data onto external hard drives. There is also a “Mode” button on the front too that lets you have a quick check how much space has been used and how much remains.
The unit also has 6 USB ports, which is convenient for plugging in, as mentioned, the external hard drives for quick backup of your data. The unit is expected to roll out in November, which price will be announced at that time too.
