It’s the trend that more devices will come with built-in Blu-ray. We’ve seen a NAS server that has a built-in Blu-ray recorder which provides the convenience to backup data to and from Blu-ray discs.
And now, Sharp has become the first one which has just launched their first LCD TV that comes with Blu-ray disc recorder. This new Sharp LCD TV belongs to the company’s AQUOS DX Series. And of course, it’s not only restricted to playing Blu-ray only, it’s also capable of playing standard DVDs.
These televisions come in the size range from 26 inches to 52 inches. And Sharp seems to make it available for Japan only, as the source we have only says that it’ll be made available in Japan stores on November 20th. For the rest of the world, you shall be lucky, as it isn’t cheap which carries a steep price tag of 170,000 yen ($1,676). Or else you’d most probably fail to resist the temptation and burn your pocket for this TV.
