Mitsubishi’s first USB PC monitor

It’s the show of Mitsubishi, which has just announced their first USB PC monitor. A USB PC monitor is handy as you can simply hook it up to any available USB port on your PC.

We’ve heard before that Samsung was preparing one of these USB monitor, and now it’s Mitsubishi’s turn. The new Mitsubishi USB monitor comes with a 20.1 inch wide-format system.

This monitor comes with the DisplayLink technology which allows for multi-monitor computing in one single USB connection. DisplayLink makes it possible for the extension of multiple screens without needing to use additional video cards.

The monitor also has built-in Ethernet connection. The new Mitsubishi WIDE LCD display (model RDT201WDL) is an energy efficient type, which is also equipped with a gauge to monitor the power usage. It’s made available for the Japan only but not yet in the US, and the price still remains unknown.
