The Japanese have extensive use of robots in their daily life. It isn’t the first time we’ve heard that they make use of robots as the receptionists to entertain visitors or to guide their way through.
The MechaDroid Type C3 is the new robot designed by the Japanese firm, Business Design, which its function is to work as a receptionist. This robot has been demoed at the Tokyo’s CEATEC. It’s reportedly saying that the robot uses face recognition technology to interpret the needs of visitors and assist them in acquiring information or directions displayed on the touchscreen panel that is being held this robot.
The robot will also show some responses on his face – some form of digital expression, to accompany his audio responses. The company expects to price this robot as much as $28,000, which is solely for business users who can afford.
This robot could make a hit, if it becomes a hot trend in Japan, that every business will want one of these robot receptionists to stand at their front doors. So, in order to stay competitive and continue in business, you need this robot cuteness for your business.
