We have a few of cool applications being developed by App Cubby out of San Marcos, Texas. There two great iPhone apps from the AppCubby are Trip Cubby and Cash Cubby, which are handy for frequent business travelers to keep track of their daily mileage and expenses respectively.
For example, working as an overly busy marketing or sales personnel who’re always out of office and on the road, will always be forgetful to get the reimbursement of your mileages from your boss on time. Most likely, you’ll always forget to record down how much you spend on mileage per day, making it hard for you to claim it back from the office. If you’re an iPhone user, the Trip Cubby app is definitely handy that keeps track all your mileage information.
The Trip Cubby presents you an entry screen that may appear little lengthy at first glance, but most fields are optional and up to you to fill out. On the input screen, the Trip Cubby will show the history of useful information of your trip such as last odometer setting, date/time and those frequent trips you take, which makes entering the trip information much easier.
The Trip Cubby app also keeps track of if the reimbursement has been reconciled or not. It’s also equipped with handy search functionality and the ability to let you email out your mileage report in .CSV format. The company is now working on a second version which uses aGPS on iPhone 3G to let you track mileage better.
The Trip Cubby can be obtained from App Store for $9.99, which is higher than the usual price seen on other iPhone apps. But the price tag $9.99 shouldn’t be any problem for any business user. A clip of the Trip Cubby in action is attached below.
The second application is the Cash Cubby. As mentioned it keeps track of your daily business expenses. It presents almost all the same functions found in Trip Cubby, excepts it keeps track of the daily spending instead of the mileage. It also allows you to quickly create and email your expense reports right from your iPhone and iPod Touch.
