Still remember Yves Rossy? The man who has been crowned Jet-Pack man, who made himself a jet-powered personal flying wing.
The latest news about this flying man is he managed to cross the English channel with his jack-pack wing. The guy leaped from a plane with four kerosene-burning jet turbines mounted on a wing on his back. Along his journey in the sky, he had to keep twisting his head and back to change direction while moving at up to 120mph.
It only took him thirteen minutes to cross the 22 miles English channel between the UK and France. The jack-pack wing is constructed from lightweight carbon composite, which is about 8 feet across and weighs 55kg once loaded with fuel. During Rossy’s flying journey, he had to wear flameproof suit to protect himself from getting burnt as the wing is having four jet turbines. Attached below is the video of the jack-pack man in action.
