
OpenPeak has rolled out their IP media phone platform, Open Frame, which is based on Intel ATOM processor in order to keep it in small form factor with high performance and consuming super low power.
As shown to you, a wide screen display with the colorful touchscreen-based buttons is actually the hub and there are two handsets that connect via this hub for VOIP calls and accessing various Internet services. The OpenFrame IP platform connects to the home network via WiFi or Wired Ethernet. Users will be able to use a single IP-based device to access various Internet services such as accessing applications including calendar, email, text messaging, syncing address book and directory services.
Other than the mentioned, it also allows the users to access news, weather, sports, stock quotes, traffic and also making VOIP calls. The device is also capable of sending calendar reminders and driving directions to the users’ mobile. You can also stream and play Internet video and music through it. Even preview those images and videos from your digital cameras or camcorders can be done on this device.
