DaScratch is the DJ controller made by Stanton, a company has been well known in making professional DJ equipments and accessories. DaScratch comes with an advanced MIDI control pad that is equipped with touch-sensitive technology.
The DaScratch is apparently smaller than most USB DJ controllers found in the market. This device is well made to handle functions of analog DJ controllers and reduce the task of creating groovy music to a scratch-scrub process. The device offers Gain and Pitch fader which allows immediate control over the parameters of all major DJ software.
The DaScratch is equipped with 9 segment LEDs giving you instant feedback when certain controls are set. It’s also equipped with the Mode Switcher which makes this device the most impressive part as it allows changing the behavior of the scratch pad. The switchable mode includes 5 touch sensitive sliders, 19 touch sensitive buttons, and one touch friendly rotary control.
Using dual technologies, StanTouch and DaRouter, the unit takes the place of a turntable-style scratch control, a cross-fader, an equalizer and an effects controller. The device allows the DJ to carry out various tasks on the same surface such as executing scratch effects, quick shuttling, EQ motions, crossfades, pitch bending, sample triggering and effects triggering and manipulation.
The touch area is also equipped with 7 segment LED strips and 16 segment LED ring that provide you with instant feedback of what you’re doing on the device’s control pad. The device costs only $300 which is highly recommended for Professional DJs and musicians who need the help of latest gadgets to make their life easier. Attached is the video showing the device in action.
