Stimuli 3.0 lamp is a concept lamp that comes in pretty strange form. It’s shaped like a spherical spaceship that doesn’t belong to this century and having all the side doors being lifted upwards, passionately waiting for the little aliens to get onboard.
Besides its form, its function is not bad either. The lamp is said capable of adjusting its brightness according to the room’s brightness. When the sun is going down, the lamp will automatically and gradually increase its brightness, which maintains a constant light in your room that you won’t feel that the sky gets dark.
An internal 3 axis gearbox moves the panels and keeps your room at a constant light level. The designer of this lamp is Chris Natt. His words about this cool lamp are “Stimuli 3.0 is a lighting system which shape and light output will sensitively vary according to the surrounding natural light intensity. For example, at dusk, illumination gradually increases as natural light recedes.” As mentioned, the device all relies on a unique 3 axis gear box to maintain a constant light level for your environment.
The Stimuli 3.0 lamp is simply just a concept at the moment. Whether it’ll attract someone to go for mass production is still a big question. But it’s great that we’re constantly fed with all these great designs and ideas.
