StellarWindow comes in a set which consists of a software and a USB dongle, to assist those geeks who’re so much in love with stargazing. Stargazing might sound pretty easy to some people. Just look up in the night sky.
But for some geeky stargazers, they might wanna dwell into more about each constellation in the dark sky. If you have a friend or someone you know is a professor or an astronomer who could explain all the complex stars in the sky for you, then it definitely makes it so much easier. If you don’t know any expert in this field, you will need to rely on some gadgets that could give the full explanation about the starry night sky.
The StellarWindow is super handy which makes stargazing much easier. It relies on the USB dongle dongle that features tilt sensors and an electronic compass. Install the software on your laptop and plug in the dongle into the USB port of your laptop, get your position calibrated. The StellarWindow will then show you a detailed explanation of the night sky above.
It also has voice recognition capability which you can just voice out for any heavenly body that you’re interested in, and the software will show you what direction in the sky that you’ll have to look at. The StellarWindow was developed by a group of Waseda University students, and they’re forming their own company and are expected to release the StellarWindow before 2009 for about $244.
