Google Chrome – the new web browser just released by Google two days ago, has attracted tons of attentions and many should have downloaded and tried this new web browser of Google now. FYI, Google Chrome has now become my default browser and I’m writing this blog post using Google Chrome instead of Firefox.
In the gadget world, the most we’re concerned is whether Google Chrome will come to the Google Mobile OS – Android. Yes, the latest news says that it’ll be coming to Android. According to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Chrome and Android were developed separately but since the two have gone public, subsequent versions of Android will be made to include Google Chrome.
The T-Mobile’s HTC Dream that we’ve seen before should not feature the version of Android that has Google Chrome in it. But it should be in later versions. As mentioned, Surgey Brin has confirmed that subsequent versions of Android are gonna have Google Chrome included. And the branding will remain the same, which will be something a mobile version of Chrome or a Chrome-like or something similar.
Both Chrome and Android’s current web browser are built on the WebKit, an open-source project for the process of interpreting the HTML code that makes up a Web page and rendering it on a screen.
The most important now is Google has to focus to make its Android on time to be released by end of this year, without further delays. The question about whether Google will release a mobile version of Chrome for the Android simply just remains as secondary.
Here comes a cool pic of HTC Dream Android with Google Chrome mockup found via Engadget.

Just got the Android phone. The browser that comes with it is okay, but after having used Chrome on my desktop for so long, I’d love to see it on Android.
One tweak that the current browser needs is better access to the address bar. You have to click menu to “go to url.” It’d be great if you could just bring the URL bar down like the browser in the “gasp” iPod Touch or iPhone.
