Samsung has been pretty agressive in making cellphones for challenging Apple iPhone. The latest they’ve made which is ready as an iPhone challenger is the Samsung Omnia i900.
The Samsung Omnia i900 is packed with tons of advanced features. It comes a thickness of 12.5mm, and equipped with a 3.2-inch touchscreen that boasts a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The big screen brings handiness which allows viewing images, movies, websites and other apps in either the portrait or landscape mode. The screen supports autorotation which rotates to three of its four sides to let you freely choose the way you wanna view web and video contents. The exterior of this Samsung phone comes in a sleek black gloss finish, which makes it such a cool gadget to carry around.
The Samsung Omnia i900 is also similar to the iPhone 3G, supporting assisted GPS or aGPS in short, but without any navigation app loaded. Of course you can download those free ones to use along, such as Google Maps. The phone supports the high-speed 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps) connectivity and WiFi for freely browsing the Internet and streaming various medias. Browsing the Internet all can be done using the included Opera 9.5 browser, which works much better than IE on a Windows mobile-based phone. The Omnia i900 also runs Windows Mobile 6.1 as the OS and you get to use those common Windows apps on this phone such as MS Office suite (Word, Excel etc.). Other applications loaded on this phone are Google Search and GMail.
The phone comes with huge 16GB internal memory storage, which is great for storing all your music, videos etc. The phone also packs a 5-megapixel camera, which is almost the basic need for today’s latest models of smart phones.

Another worth-to-highlight is the touchscreen technology used on the Samsung i900 is the haptical touch technology, which is similar to what the iPhone offers. And it also offers a touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard on its touchscreen. The touchscreen of this phone sends pretty vibrant feedback to the users, which uses vibrations for higher interactiveness.
