D-Link presents a trio of power-saving green WiFi routers

D-Link green WiFi routers
WiFi networks are growing at a super fast rate that is almost out of the expectation of the world. And they’re dissipating lots of heat and consuming lots of energy, which is also a major contributor to global warming.

D-Link now stands out to be the first one, offering green technology for a series of their WiFi equipments for home networks. The specialty of these newly announced D-Link WiFi routers is of course, they manage to save lots of power. D-Link claims their new products are able to save up to 40% in power usage.

The D-Link WiFi router has built-in capabilities of detecting cable length and link status, and from that on it adjusts its power usage accordingly. The routers can also be programmed to turn the WiFi radio off to save power. You can set it how long you wanna have it to stay on.

The Green Ethernet Technology of D-Link has been incorporated into three of its WiFi products, which are D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router DIR-665, Xtreme N Duo Media Router DIR-855, and the Xtreme N Gaming Router DGL-4500. These WiFi routers that equipped with the green technology is claimed to save 32% on the DIR-655, 41% on the Dir-855, and 31% on the DGL-4500.
