Before I even read the article, I already had the premonition that either diamonds or other precious stones will be prominently featured.
To me, a more interesting question to tackle is: what is the most expensive [gadget name] that is not encrusted with any stones or layered with precious metals?

What if you what to change your iPhone to a new one? I guess even for the super rich, a $177K gadget is not something you will throw away ‘that’ easily!
There’s one thats a diamond case - http://www.extraordinary-i-phone.com/ I guess this is one’s a little more ‘practical’!

Only diamonds or precious metal will carry a huge price tag. But just technology alone, it will never deserve that much just for a gadget like that. Somemore almost all gadgets are going for mass productions, which costs are kept minimal, so there is no way to carry huge price tags…….
