BenQ has got a new 3G beast, which is ready to hit the Taiwan market. The new 3G cellphone from BenQ is the E55 cellphone. The phone is offers the latest mobile Internet connectivity, 3G, which we always need these days for better speed of streaming media.
Besides the 3G connectivity, the BenQ E55 also carries a 2-megapixel as the main camera, and also a secondary video call camera that is found at the middle of the clamshell hinge. The phone also boasts a a 1-inch 64k colors CSTN external screen with 96 x 64, which is a perfect compliment to its internal screen, a 2-inch TFT screen that supports up to 262K colors.
The BenQ E55 is the successor of the BenQ E53, the earlier model. The E55 cellphone also includes a media player that is capable of playing various file formats, such as AAC, MP3, 3GP and MP4. The BenQ E55 will be priced around $230, and available for the stores in Taiwan later this month.
There isn’t any information if this cellphone will be available for other countries. Since BenQ is Taiwanese brand, most of the cellphones that they make also preparing for the Taiwan market only. Anyway, it might be a good choice or alternative for those who wanna consider the secondary brand instead of those common ones, like Samsung, Sony, Nokia etc.
